Is January winter or summer?

January has started off with not feeling too well, and I learned to use a facemask which is quite common to wear in Taiwan. Many Taiwanese wear it as protection against air-pollution, infections and to avoid others from getting infected by you if you don't feel too well. You can by the masks with many different designs, and I will definately wear mine again next time I get sick.

Last saturday I went to Fulong beach.
We had beautiful weather, but unfortunately we were not allowed to swim..

The weather is changing very quickly, and so one day I went to class with winterclothes on, and the next day I only wear a singlet. I do prefer the days with singlet. The last week I've had several small trips in the nearby mountains. First with my dad and our little dog, but before we reached the mountain top, we returned due to heavy rain. Next I went with a friend, and we enjoyed nice weather and the beautiful view of Taipei city in one directions and green mountains in the other. Most of the people we meet in the mountains seem to be adults and seniors. We met some families with kids as well, but I believe they came up the mountain by car, and then walked the very last part of the trail. I still find the mountains and mountaintrails here very interesting and exotic.

二格山, 678mas

Januray 19th my sister gave birth to Mathilde. She's a beautiful little girl, and I can't wait to see her in March :)
